Who was the first person to summit Mount Everest? Edmund Hillary. Bingo!

Hillary had a goal. He wanted to be the first person to officially summit Mount Everest. When he stepped foot on top of that glorious mountain it was exhilarating. Mission accomplished. He did it and it would change his life forever. 

But he couldn’t have done it alone. 

Who was the other first person? Tenzing Norgay also stood on the top of Mount Everest that day. He was Edmund’s Sherpa. His guide up the mountain.
